Hand Soldering Technician
We are looking for career-oriented experienced soldering technicians. The ideal candidate will have soldering and assembly experience. This will include using hand tools and power tools. This is a full-time opportunity with room for growth and plenty of OVER TIME - 1st SHIFT
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform hand soldering of electronic components including though-hole, surface mount and wire harness terminations consistent with IPC or equivalent standards.
- Inspect and test soldered components to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and rework any soldering defects.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Perform repetitive assembly, terminating, molding, testing and packaging operations to produce connectors and cable assemblies that meet specification of schematics, blueprints, or process instructions.
- Test and inspect product to ensure specifications are met.
- Attend and participate in all required trainings and departmental meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hand soldering
- Prior certification to IPC-A-620, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721 a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with soldering equipment and tools
- Attention to detail and ability to work with small components
