Description
Permanent position for a Hardware Design Engineer to design battery charger systems
Position is with a leading developer and manufacturer of battery charger and dc power systems for the power generation, switchgear, oil & gas and transportation industries.
Create new and re-design existing DC control system schematics and printed circuit boards
Design battery charger filter inductors and main power transformers
Create Bill of Materials, material costs, magnetic winding sheets, and other production documentation
Environmental, regulatory, and safety testing of new designs
Analyze and resolve production issues with manufacturing personnel
Requirements
BS Electrical Engineering
Minimum 2 years of experience with power electronics, analog, digital, and embedded microcontroller Application designs
Experience with digital, analog, and power electronics design.
Experience in magnetics design is preferred.
Knowledge of thermal analysis for electromechanical assemblies
Experience with PCB Design and circuit analysis and simulation software preferred
