Scope
- Our customer is In need of a Senior Engineer (Level III) to lead efforts within a Lab environment to evaluate Set-Top Box Video Quality. The role will encompass both Project Management and hands on Engineering expertise and will work directly with another Senior Lab Engineer already onsite.
- Using Rally you will create user stories on best approach to evaluate how to push STBs through the process and witness Video Quality evaluations first hand in a lab setting.
- You will generate Lab reports and use Rally to create strategy to ensure each box's Video quality evaluation effort is pushed through to completion.
- Both written and verbal communication are critical and you must be able to articulate, define and explain defects/issues that arise throughout the process, and present findings to Senior Management.
Requirements
- Must be familiar with Lab equipment and should have prior work experience in a Lab environment.
- Cable Industry experience
- Strong understanding of Set-Top Boxes, Video and Video quality.
- Strong soft skills, ability to work with various personalities and be able to maintain character under pressure.
- Design, development and delivery of robust video cable television devices.
- Work with Technology and Product teams to define Video device product roadmaps, device capabilities.
- Provide technical input and review of Device specifications
- Develop vendor implementation guides.
