About the Job
Reporting to the Manager of Value Engineering. Under general direction, the Column Hardware Recycle Technician I, hereby known as "Technician,” is responsible for the daily recycling of column hardware as required. Responsible for direct line support of hardware recycling operations. The Technician is expected to fulfill, at a minimum, the following duties, and responsibilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Accomplish daily required recycling of hardware units by unpacking, cleaning, drying, storing, and maintaining/updating accurate records.
2. Carry out any required transactional activities which may include knowing and using basic computer software application (i.e., MS Office) pertaining to the inventory of the hardware units and departmental communications.
3. Maintain accurate hardware counts information and records daily.
4. Maintain column hardware storage and recycling locations in an upkept manner daily.
5. Follows applicable standard work and procedures when accomplishing assigned tasks.
6. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
7. Work collectively with multi-disciplinary teams to collaborate in achievement of objectives.
8. Normally receives general instructions on routine work and new assignments. Latitude for independent judgment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
• 2-3 years of experience with metal parts processing, inspection, and inventory management.
• High School Diploma
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, chemical industry a plus.
• Communicate effectively (oral and written) with all employees, contractors, vendors.
• Strong time and task management skills, ability to multitask and meet on-time delivery requirements.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and against strict time constraints.
• Experience with M.S. Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Working experience in a progressive EHS based environment.
• Intermediate PC and software skills
• Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires, the ability to sit, stand, walk, or a combination of all for extended periods of time, ability to hear telephone, ability to enter data on a computer, may also require the ability to lift to 50lbs.
