Position Summary
This is a Hardware/Software Engineer position at the TPO-STE, National Simulation Center, Fort Leavenworth, KS in support of the National Simulation Center (NSC) Support Operations (SO) task order under MTCCS II IDIQ.
What You’ll Do
- Perform software analysis program scripting, testing, debugging, and simulation integration to include recommended modifications of existing Virtual and Gaming design, AR, VR, and MR hardware and software integration and special purpose software components to ensure efficiency and integrity between systems and applications
- Secure and organize government-owned digital products to prevent degradation or loss
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of the flagship Gaming software used by the US Army in order to assist with testing, analysis, and troubleshooting
- Test and modify software code between multiple devices to enable the display, interaction, and resolution of effects generated by behaviors in the simulation
- Write documentation that provides the end user the knowledge to integrate hardware and software in order to make full use of the internally built products
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline
- 4 years experience in software development, and simulation integration within the Microsoft Windows and Linux family of operating systems; including expertise in hardware and software standards and protocols; ability to apply architecture to real-world requirements utilizing current Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVC&G) platforms
- 2 years experience in software testing, analysis, troubleshooting, problem trouble reports development, management and documentation Program Trouble Reports (PTRs), and operating the current gaming suite toolkit
- Experienced and knowledgeable in writing programs using C++, MFC, C#, Visual Basic, JAVA, XML, scripting languages, X programming and libraries, and integrating networking packet protocols into simulation environments.
- Experience and knowledge in performing software analysis program scripting, testing, debugging, and simulation integration and recommending modifications of existing Virtual and Gaming design, AR, VR, and MR hardware and software integration and special purpose software components
- United States citizen
- Active Secret Clearance
