Job Summary
Job Title: Health, Beauty, Cosmetics-General Merchandise (HBC-GM) Clerk
FLSA Status: Hourly
Reports To: HBC-GM Department Manager
Maintains stock levels in the HBC/GM department by replenishing products as needed. Execute the boomerang theory by providing exceptional service to all guests.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide customer service to guests
- Assist guests with supplying them with the items they need from the department
- Aid guests in finding items they are looking for on the sales floor
- Take orders and special requests
- Answer the telephone and assist callers using proper phone etiquette
- Ten tiling guests at all times
- Stocking and maintaining product levels
- Fill all items on display
- Makes sure products are rotated, using first in first out method
- Follow display standards
- Makes sure the sales floor is clean and tidy; no messes or spills
- Maintaining grocery supplies
- Ensure all quality standards are being met
- Assist in maintaining inventory controls
- Ordering
- Order for the department based on stock levels and upcoming ads
- Executing display standards and building displays
- Build primary and secondary displays
- Executing display standards for inline, end caps, clip strips and seasonal programs
- Regular, timely attendance in complicance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
- Processing invoices
- Process invoices for the department
- Check for accuracy of invoices

- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers and all personnel.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies
- Must possess the ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards on store premises. Also requires proper training and knowledge of the following equipment/procedures: proper lifting techniques, trash compactor, baler, power equipment.

WORK SCHEDULE
The HBC-GM Clerk is an hourly position that is part-time (less than 28 hours per week). The work schedule will include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
