Supervisor IOP Program
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The IOP Program Supervisor is responsible for providing day to day clinical support for the Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Behavioral Health Department as assigned with the clinical Manager. Will be responsible for performing sound clinical assessments on and off site for patients referred to Holy Cross Hospital/St. Casimir clinic and coordinating appropriate level of care for each patient assessed. Demonstrate the ability to exercise independent clinical judgment and ability to shift priorities quickly depending on the needs of the clinic. Ability to support clinical team with providing support in various treatment modalities and maintain the clinic within accordance with the HFS Rule 132, Rule 140, CARF and recovery models which affirms, strengthens and broadens problem-solving abilities and increases the client’s self-knowledge. Supports the mission and furthers the goals of Sinai Behavioral Health in accordance with the Annual Plan. Provides administrative support, policy interpretation and goal-oriented leadership to staff and clients in a direct-service clinical department.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Work closely with the Clinical team in assisting with referrals, data base tracking, transfers, and insurance prior authorizations for IOP care
2. Establish and maintain positive working relationships by collaborating with internal and external referral sources
3. Complete a screening and triage process to assist in determining the necessary services or assessments on an as needed basis. Gather referral and pre-registration information from referring agencies, professionals, clients and other partners
4. Complete all data entry for admission including identifying information, reason for referral, relevant history, comprehensive assessment and payer type information
5. Complies and enhances the Continuous Quality Improvement process for the department through activities such as chart audits, peer reviews, etc.
6. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written customer service skills. Managing and maintaining network relationships with referral sources and other collaterals
7. Ability to adapt quickly to the clinical and patient needs and handles crisis situations that arise in IOP or OP
8. Manage timecard system with the clinical manager to ensure clinic is covered during vacation and sick time. Able to assist with facilitating IOP groups as needed
9. Provide individual therapy and support services to Sinai patients and assist their families with access to services
10. Complete annual evaluations on staff assigned by clinical manager
11. Provide direct clinical supervision to caregivers within the program as assigned by clinical manager
12. Attend meetings and trainings assigned by BH Leadership
13. Continue to develop skills in effectively supervising clinicians and provide quality care to patients
14. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education:
Master’s Degree in clinical field (social work, psychology, counseling, etc.)
Minimum Work Experience:
Minimum of two year experience with SMI population Interpersonal Skills: Open communication, has leadership qualities, day-to-day problem solving, works well within a team, manages conflict resolution well. Analytical Abilities: Knowledgeable of MS Office (Word, Excel, PP, Outlook)
Must be culturally competent.
Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Required Licenses, Certificates, Registrations:
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred
