Job Description
Present a professional and positive image of the Club while promoting and managing all golf-relatedactivities. Responsible for insuring that all members and their guests have an exceptional golfingexperience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire golf day to day operations including, but not limited to:
- The Golf Shop
- The Golf Course
- Golf Tournaments
- All other golf related programs
- Hire, train, and supervise competent personnel
- Promote the resort
- Represent the resort within the local and national golf community through organizations such as the PGA, the CGA, and the USGA.
- Enforce all the facility’s rules and regulations governing the use of the golf course, golf cars, and other golf facilities.
- Be fiscally responsible for the entire golf operation
- Maintain a close relationship with the golf course superintendent
- Supervise the use of the reservation system and the POS
- Devote a reasonable number of hours to networking and building relationships with guests and members
- Golf Course Reservations
- Coordinate daily, weekly, monthly play with the hotel
- Update the reservation system on an as needed basis
- Organize outings and tournaments
- Golf Shop Operations
- Work closely with the Director of Golf and retail departments to create the yearly buying plan
- Maintain the golf shop in a clean and presentable condition at all times
- Maintain merchandise that is appealing to the customer
- Review monthly financials with the Director of Golf and make adjustments as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in the Golf Industry
- Preferred: Class A Member of the PGA in good standing or must have passed level II of the PGA/PGM Associate Program
- Education: Associates Degree or Higher, preferred
- Must posses strong computer skills
- Experienced in tournament operations
- Experienced in golf shop merchandising
- Ability to reach , bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs
Pay: $75K The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience.
