To support our fast-growing business and commitment to meeting customers where they are at, the commercial marketing team is looking for a seasoned digital and social leader to continue defining the vision and strategy of the commercial blog and social ecosystem, the largest at Microsoft. The social ecosystem includes 70+ social handles across major social platforms, supporting high visibility offerings including Azure, MS Dev, Microsoft 365, Fabric, Teams, and Security among others. The social ecosystem publishes 500+ posts per month. The blog ecosystem has 24 blog properties publishing 500+ blog posts annually.
This Head of Commercial Blog & Social role is perfect for a strategic senior leader with a creative, story-telling, and digital acumen, who can also tell stories of impact leveraging data and insights. As the senior director for commercial blog and social, this individual will be responsible for leading the blog and social experiences in support of high priority initiatives including events, announcements, campaigns, follower engagement, and working with our partners across the organization to provide customers with technical support. A key part of this role is to develop points-of-view on how we should leverage or not new social platforms, recommend engagement strategies, create governance principles to adhere to social best practices such as accessibility and privacy, etc. These strategic points-of-view are also used to educate our leadership on the why and how of social and provide meaningful insights to further their business objectives.

**Responsibilities**
+ Deliver and drive application of blog and social strategy along with clear communications on the how and what.
+ Lead our team in the continuous adjustments of our blog and social strategy: social and blog properties, creative, content creation, influencer engagement, measurement, governance, and staffing models.
+ Apply ongoing prioritization models and tracking to load balance the work.
+ Work with our team to build points-of-view of social and blog trends, business opportunities, and areas of risk related to cloud marketing priorities and audiences.
+ Educate key stakeholders on the why and how of social and blog trends, audience consumption habits, platform pros and cons, and measurable objectives.
+ Develop an understanding of commercial cloud product and service offerings, business priorities, competitor set to better inform recommendations and executions.
+ Provide focus and drive when identifying and resolving issues that span across product marketing, PR, engineering, and other stakeholders and creates a share vision for results.
+ Recruit and nurturing an amazing team of blog engine resources and strategists.
+ Ability to evaluate and manage through your team a large staff of vendors who support the business.

**Qualifications**
**Required/Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 7+ years experience overseeing commercial blog and social ecosystems.
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 6+ years experience creating and presenting to senior leaders and customers and landing customer story plans, expected outcomes and dependencies.
+ 6+ years experience working in an organization of 100k plus employees
+ 6+ years experience managing a multimillion dollar budget.
**Additional or Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 9+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience
+ OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 4+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 5+ years people management experience, ideally teams of 30+ people.
+ Experience cultivating talent at different levels and driving cohesion across teams and stakeholders.
Integrated Marketing M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $154,500 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $199,600 - $299,400 per year.
