Summary
The RDC HOD is responsible for leadership and guidance of the entire RDC department.

Overall
- Responsible for all functions of Distribution Center, creating and meeting all Key performance indexes to accomplish company goals as they are related to Packaging, Planning, and Customer Service Team.
- Create operating budget and initiative to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
- Plan and forecast future volume and required infrastructure and staff.
- Guide and develop team member via mentoring and formal training or corrective actions.
- Benchmark all supply chain networks to ensure MAL RDC operate at world class levels.
- Cooperate with distributors to improve customer service levels that drive the Hyundai and Kia Brand image.
Sales
- Create Sales plan by gathering data from various sources and considering automotive market factors.
- Manage manpower required to reach the Sales plan.
- Ensure inventory levels are satisfactory to achieve both Customer Fill rates and RIO.
- Manage and develop the replenishment plan including research and analysis of demand data.
- Organize staff of Sales Team to properly handle the customer service and analytical requirement to reach the corporate goals.
- Report regularly to upper management the progress and outlook for sales and months of supply.
Inventory
- Organize and develop continuous physical inventory plan to achieve world class accuracy levels.
- Manage staff for these duties and generate training program to enhance the value of the team.
- Utilize WOS (Warehouse Optimization System) to improve productivity and organization for storing.
- Manage plan for physical confirmation of all RDC assets.
- Investigate and create counter plan for all inventory errors. Enforce accountability and execution of these measures.
- Report regularly to upper management the progress and outlook for Inventory.
- Create training for team and individual development of staff to ensure a reduction of lost assets and improved efficiency.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes supervises managers, Senior Specialists, Specialists and Team Members.
Qualifications:Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proven ability to lead and motivate team with productivity and quality as top priorities
- Strong communication both written and verbal
- Strong decision making skills with vision for future growth
- Complete understanding of automotive supply chain and market factors affecting it
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelors/Masters in Business or Logistics field
- 10 years’ experience leading distribution center, automotive

Working Conditions: Office Environment/Warehouse; Operate computer to assess reports, sitting in a stationary position for 90% of the day, occasionally lift 15-20 lbs. 30% Travel.
