Salary: up to £45,167.08 per annum
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Provide leadership and vision to deliver excellent student outcomes, quality assurance, and curriculum innovation.
- Lead and support the academic team, reporting to the Assistant Head of Curriculum and Progression.
- Be accountable for the delivery of contractually required progression rates to the Universities.
- Take responsibility for Foundation, IY1, or PMP (where applicable) matters within the programme area.
- Communicate our vision to drive forward continuous improvement and enable the centre to achieve aspirational targets for student outcomes.
- Contribute to planning and development including human resources, academic development, learning, teaching and assessment, and academic quality assurance and enhancement.
- Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and take appropriate actions to enhance delivery.
- Provide effective academic management and coordination of staff resources across the academic and progression support teams.
- Ensure timely and compliant recruitment of academic staff.
- Ensure the academic team meets key minimum expectations/compliance in their duties.
- Contribute to compliance with Study Group’s and relevant external agencies’ quality frameworks and policies.
- Contribute to progress against actions in the Centre Action Plan (CAP).
- Ensure the centre's Quality Assurance framework is implemented across all academic teams.
- Work closely with the Head of Registry and Operations and Head of Student Experience to ensure effective delivery of timetables and assessment schedules.
- Ensure integration of current and relevant subject, academic skills, and language development in the programme.
- A Bachelor degree and a post graduate qualification.
- A teaching qualification.
- Experience of providing leadership in a complex multi-disciplinary environment.
- Experience of providing feedback to improve performance.
- Ability to delegate activities, set deadlines, and oversee successful completion.
- Experience of leading internal communication effectively.
- Experience of working with international students and understanding welfare and cultural issues.
- Experience of data management, interpretation, and quality assurance.
- Experience of working across an organization and with external partners.
