About the Job
Join Morgan Health, a JPMorgan Chase unit dedicated to enhancing employer-sponsored healthcare in the U.S., as an Executive Director and Head of Finance and Business Management. Reporting to the CFO, you'll manage all Finance Business Management functions, advise the CEO and leadership team, and oversee financial planning, expense management, strategic initiatives, and equity investments. This role demands a strong controls mindset, understanding of equity investments, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. You'll also supervise one finance and business management professional.
As the Head of Finance and Business Management within Morgan Health, you will oversee all Finance Business Management functions, serving as a key advisor to both the CEO and the MH Leadership team. Your role will involve managing and aiding Morgan Health Leadership in financial planning, expense management, and strategic project management. You will also be responsible for integrating external support from consultants or vendors, and supervising the governance and reporting of Morgan Health's equity investments. Additionally, you will manage a finance and business management professional. This position requires a strong control mindset, understanding of equity investments, and a commitment to continuous business improvement, along with effective communication, independent strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Job responsibilities
+ Support the Morgan Health Leadership Team to advance the groups mission and strategic priorities.
+ Work closely with the Morgan Health CFO and Morgan Health Chief of Staff to facilitate the department has appropriate processes in place to advance its work across all areas of Morgan Health - including priority management, business reviews, etc.
+ Own and prepare periodic Executive Management Reporting to senior leadership for budget and financial reporting and tracking of business support activities.
+ Deliver management reporting and ad-hoc analysis financials, control implementation and strategic priorities.
+ Own the process for on vendor/consultant management.
+ Liaise with partners in Compliance, Risk, Audit and Legal to support the activities of Morgan Health.
+ Establish strong working relationship with Control Management, in Human Resources and Corporate Responsibility to bridge work efforts.
+ Build, manage and optimize departmental processes and operations to minimize bureaucracy and enhance efficiency and productivity.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
+ The candidate must be a self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills and who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment.
+ BA/BS degree required.
+ At least 8 years of relevant Finance or Business Management experience, preferably in financial services or healthcare industry.
+ Sound judgment, professional maturity and personal integrity, strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Candidate must be comfortable with frequently changing priorities.
+ Excellent organizational, management, and both verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong technical and analytical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, including experience creating PowerPoint presentations balancing strategy and operational elements.
+ Detail oriented individual with the ability to work well under pressure, handling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
+ Ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues, desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically.
+ Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner for the Business, Finance, Control Management teams and other key functional support partners.
+ Proven ability to lead a team and display strong, empathetic leadership capabilities.
+ Position is based in New York City, but there is flexibility for other locations including Wilmington, DE.
