Head of Sales - Metalworking Industry
Location:
Rome, GA (Relocation assistance available)
Compensation:
Compensation will consist of a base salary commensurate with experience + performance based bonus + company vehicle.
Opportunity Summary:
We are excited to partner with a prestigious, globally recognized company with over 100 years of success and innovation in the metalworking industry to recruit their Head of Sales. Known for their superior quality and precision, they provide advanced metalworking tools, equipment and services that set the standard worldwide. In this role, you will be responsible for the machining and abrasives product groups and will set the strategy and lead the teams to accomplish Sales goals. This position is based in Rome, GA and you will travel about 20% of the time to work with sales reports in the field, as well as some International travel as required.
Key Accountabilities:
- Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with Company’s overall business objectives.
- Actively identify new target markets, segments, and customers.
- Set sales goals, targets, and quotas.
- Plan and allocate resources effectively to achieve sales targets.
- Sales Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the sales team, including internal/external Sales application managers and Key account managers, and Order Fulfillment Team.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to help the team achieve sales objectives.
- Set performance expectations, monitor performance, and provide feedback.
- Recruit, train, and develop sales talent to keep pace with growth.
- Business Development:
- Drive business growth through the gaining of new customers, expansion into new markets, and development of new sales channels in each portfolio.
- Identify and pursue business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Sales Forecasting and Analysis:
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and sales data to forecast sales performance.
- Monitor and evaluate sales metrics, such as revenue, profitability, and new customer acquisition.
- Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to maximize sales effectiveness.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Foster strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement customer retention strategies.
- Resolve customer concerns and issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations and Engineering, to address customer needs and enhance customer experience.
Requirements:
Must Have:
- Experience selling technical products into manufacturing environments that involve metal fabrication.
- Experience defining and executing Sales strategy
- Experience managing sales people
- BS degree in business administration or a related field.
- Microsoft Office proficient
Would Like:

- Experience with CRM software
- Experience with metalworking tools and equipment
