Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will use their engineering, communication, and analytical skills to support the design and implementation of innovative and compelling supply chain solutions for DB Schenker's customers.
Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):
* Team management: Lead and manage a team of program managers with assigned customers/projects/initiatives. Hire new team members and ensure proper induction is provided. Ensure an appropriate and balanced workload for individual teams members and the team overall. Ensure that the team adhere to service standards / SLA covering all SOW agreed with customers
* Proposal and Presentation Development - support development of proposal and presentation materials to convey the organization's capabilities, unique value propositions and approach to solving customer supply chain challenges, leveraging basic and advanced supply chain modelling tools as needed.
* Technical Analysis - identify data needs and lead analysis to support solution development including the ability to deal effectively with ambiguous situations and address critical gaps in scoping by developing effective assumptions. Manage the team to present a proof of concept demonstration leveraging customer's own data.
* Technical integration - Manage a team to setup systems required for customer integration projects, including managing EDI/API and other integration methodologies to ensure seamless B2B integration between DB Schenker and the customer's landscape.
* Operational Design & Optimization - lead design efforts for new business including process design to support customer's business needs while achieving reduction of complexities and cost to serve while increasing differentiation and quality.
* Communication - pro-actively lead communication and collaboration with internal cross-functional departments and external stakeholders and interface directly with customers through all phases of solution design initiatives
* Organizational and Industry Knowledge Development - keep abreast of relevant supply chain industry information and trends, innovations, and technology as well as the organization's current customer base and operating capabilities. Represent the America's region's needs in global and local product development needs.
* Implementation project management - Provide leadership and structure best in class implementation methodologies to support the reviews of external clients demands, develops project plans and ensures that implementations are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations. Ensure that global implementation structure are always fit for purpose to support the timely implementation needs of the American region.

* Assignment Complexity - The position requires a high degree of understanding of complex Air and Ocean based supply chain management in an intercontinental context
* Accountability - Direct service delivery success and growth to customers through management of direct reports.
* Impact of Decisions - Decisions have a long-term effect on the company's success. Requires unquestionable integrity and moral character that the organization can trust without reservation.
* Working Relationships - Interacts internally and externally with top executive level management. Requires negotiation of extremely difficult matters that influence policy-making bodies both internally and externally.
* Scope - This position is regional in nature with some global matrix responsibilities.
