About the Job
As a Sr. Header/Thread Operator, you will have the ability to perform required tasks to keep equipment running. Perform Preventative maintenance, set-ups and troubleshoot equipment issues. Train new employees and mentor them in the heading/Threading process.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting, and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Using blueprints to do visual product inspections to verify conformance to print specifications and tracking conformance using the SPC program. (40%)
- Changing tools and adjusting machine back to proper specification. (30%)
- Performing housekeeping/daily machine maintenance and troubleshooting manufacturing issues. (20%)
- Driving a forklift to retrieve raw material or deliver finished product to outbound staging area. (10%)
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Experience reading blue prints required
- Five (5) years of experience in setting up and the operation of Heading/Threading machines.
- Forklift experience required
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Mechanical ability & safety. Able to consistently prioritize safety by demonstration of safe work practices and promoting a safe work environment
- Accountability & Dependability. Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance
