Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 national law firm, is seeking a talented litigation Attorney to join their Health Care Professional Liability practice group in Kansas City. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with attorneys and clients in a non-partner-track role, gaining substantial experience across a diverse range of health care liability matters.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Bar Admission in Kansas or Missouri.
- 3–5 years of experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, or related civil litigation.
- Proficiency in case management, trial preparation, and all facets of litigation, including drafting and reviewing discovery and motions, taking and defending depositions, and handling court appearances.
- Strong writing, research, and communication skills, with proven experience in high-stakes litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Health Care Professional Liability team in managing complex cases, focusing on medical malpractice and other health care-related claims.
- Draft and review discovery materials, motions, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct depositions, manage court appearances, and collaborate on trial preparation to deliver top-tier representation for clients.
- Partner with experienced attorneys and contribute to the strategic direction of each case.
