Sanitas Medical Center is hiring for a Full-Time Health Information Management specialist for our Naples - Collier Blvd facility in Naples, FL. Health Information Management specialists are responsible for organizing and maintaining health information in both paper files and electronic systems. This role involves checking data for accuracy, assigning codes for insurance reimbursement, recording information, and keeping file folders and electronic databases up to date. The data managed includes patient information, medical histories, physician exams, test results, and services provided.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage health information data.
- Maintain the medical record and track treatment outcomes.
- Order medical supplies according to departmental needs.
- Rotate weekends, holidays, and shifts as necessary based on company needs.
- Participate in staff and department meetings.
- Share acquired knowledge and learning with team members.
- Report for duty on time consistently.
- Ensure patient information is kept private and limit personal conversations in patient presence.
- Collaborate effectively with personnel from other departments.
- Check medical records and follow up to obtain missing results prior to patient appointments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Customer service skills and training.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in the medical field required; no license is required.
- Relevant or other job-related vocational coursework preferred.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to operate tools and equipment, and must be able to exert regularly up to 10 pounds of force, frequently exert 30 pounds, and occasionally exert 50 pounds. The employee will also need to reach with hands and arms, bend, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, and pull. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may be exposed to noise that requires shouting to be heard above ambient noise levels.
