Health Insurance Policy Writer - PayerFusion

WellAway Limited is looking for a Health Insurance Policy Writer will be responsible for drafting and reviewing health insurance policies. Will work closely with underwriters, actuaries, legal teams, and product managers to ensure the policy documents are clear, comprehensive, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations, including the Schedule of Benefits and Terms and Definitions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and revise health insurance policy documents, including terms, conditions, coverage limits, and exclusions.
• Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, legal teams, and product managers to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy.
• Ensure policy language is clear, precise, and legally sound.
• Update policy documents to reflect changes in regulations, company policies, or market conditions.
• Reviews and maintains knowledge of market trends and product demands
• Assist in developing new health insurance products by creating initial policy drafts.
• Review and edit policy documents for consistency and clarity.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health insurance regulations and industry standards.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand policy requirements and address any concerns.
• Provide support during internal and external audits of policy documents.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Health Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in technical writing, legal writing, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of health insurance products and terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in the role of Policy Writer or Underwriter
• Experience preferred in international Helah Insurance Plans (IPMI or PPO plans and knowledge of ACA requirements)
• Experience in analyzing risk involved to develop benefits applicable
