Applications are now being accepted for a part-time HEALTH ROOM ASSISTANT position. The starting rate is $13.06 per hour. Employee benefits are not included with this position.
PRIMARY FUNCTION Assist in providing medical and health related services to support the educational programming and physical needs of students under the direction of the Certified School Nurse (CSN).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or G.E.D. with experience in medical service field. Must possess or obtain and maintain CPR certification, and first aide certification upon hire; Must have understanding of and will adhere to the principles of confidentiality; Knowledge of office procedures, filing, basic record keeping, problem solving skills and math aptitude; Good oral and written communication skills using computers and other communication equipment; visual acuity; and the ability to hear and read are required; Ability and willingness to assist with lifting/moving students; Experience working with school aged children preferred. Must possess the temperament to work with students and adults exhibiting a wide range of emotions and have the physical ability to perform the essential duties.
