About the Job
The Health and Safety “H&S” Coordinator is responsible for growing the HS&E awareness throughout all Dynamic Service Solutions worksites and CFRC facilities. This position is responsible for all assigned duties by the Occupational Health and Safety Specialist including the overall administration, technical guidance, and leadership in complying, interpreting, and implementing all regulatory requirements regarding Health, Safety, and Environmental concerns for the facility. HS&E expertise to all levels within the organization, interpreting data, identifying hazards, assessing risk, and implementing solutions to prevent injury/illness, environmental impact, or property damage.
Essential Functions:
- Revise, and implement Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain OSHA Forms for work related injuries in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
- Perform and/or assist in required HS&E New Hire Employment Orientation, Annual and preventative training for all personnel.
- Conduct Health, Safety, and Environmental facility inspections and audits.
- Assists in maintaining all Health Safety and Environmental records, permits and reports as required by Federal, State(s), and Various Local Regulatory Agencies.
- Aid and advise on HSE issues and make preventative solution recommendations to facility management.
- Conduct interviews/investigations when an on-the-job injury or incident occurs; ensure all necessary paperwork is received and completed correctly.
- Alert Occupational Health and Safety Specialist immediately regarding any incident or potential HS&E issues.
- Assist with emergency response plans and ensure availability of necessary safety equipment.
- Identify workplace hazards or unsafe working conditions and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken encouraging safe working practices.
- Develop and distribute safety materials for employee awareness and safety initiatives.
- Assist with company and program health and safety sponsored events.
- Ensure that all Safety Data Sheets are available, up to date, and in compliance.
- Ensure all department checklists and inspections are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures within our internal and external platforms.
- Ensure JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) documentation is implemented and updated at the facility for all job-related activities and processes.
- Support with Worker Compensation Process to include but not limited to investigations, reporting, filing updates and management and employee notifications.
- Make recommendations to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
- Keep Occupational Health & Safety Specialist and senior management informed with detailed and accurate reporting.
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience Level:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or relevant related field preferred
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
- OSHA 511 preferred.
Foreign Language Requirement: Fluency in English is required, Spanish is preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to travel.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task under strict, deadline-oriented, and fast-paced working environments
- Ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various groups of personnel.
Other Specialized Training and skills:
- In-depth knowledge of applicable HS&E laws and regulations including state, local and federal.
- Experience with writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Must be willing to travel between multiple facilities within the Houston area.
- Commitment to working safely and participating in all HSE programs. Must have the desire to assist the Company in promoting a healthy, incident-free workplace.
- Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- First Aid, CPR certified preferred
Work is performed mostly in an office setting. Regular local travel required. Some overnight travel, public speaking, evening, and weekend work are requirements of the position. Regular computer work is also required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; finger, handle, or feel objects, or controls; reach; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
