Job Title:
Health Services Supervisor
Scope:
- Serve as the Health Services Supervisor for a resort theme park with over 1,000 employees and 2 million guests annually.
- Lead health services operations, reporting directly to the Head of Health & Safety.
- Supervise a team of 5 full-time and up to 20 part-time medics (EMTs and paramedics), providing essential first aid to guests and employees.
- Administer the Workers' Compensation program.
Main Responsibilities
1. Lead Health Services Operations

- Schedule staff to ensure seamless guest and employee care, balancing labor within budget constraints.
- Maintain appropriate appearance and guest-friendly environments in all First Aid Stations.
- Ensure proper maintenance and storage of equipment and supplies to support safe operations.
- Implement the resort's Bloodborne Pathogen Program, ensuring a safe workplace.
Own Your Craft
- Maintain and update Health Services SOPs, ensuring they reflect the latest standards.
- Coordinate interviews and hire talented, dedicated individuals to build a strong team.
- Oversee accurate medical documentation and recordkeeping processes, contributing to operational excellence.
- Assist with General Liability claims through organized, responsive follow-up.
2. Supervise the Health Services Team

- Ensure the team meets training requirements, guiding new hires through a robust training program.
- Foster open communication by updating staff on procedural and operational changes.
- Plan and conduct team meetings and training sessions to build team cohesion and continuous learning.
- Enforce policies with fairness and ensure all team members are accountable to high standards.
- Audit opening/closing duties and vehicle checks, ensuring smooth, compliant operations.

3. Administer the Workers' Compensation Program
Drive and Discover
- Ensure the timely and accurate filing of workers' compensation claims and efficient processing of all related documentation.
- Communicate effectively with adjusters and partner with department leadership to address injured employee needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.

- Partner with department leadership to understand and enforce any physical restrictions for injured employees, ensuring their well-being while maintaining operational productivity.
4. Other Duties as Assigned
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the health and safety of the resort, embodying the spirit of teamwork and leadership.
Qualifications & Experience:
Background and Experience
Must be a graduate of a State-accredited or recognized EMT/paramedic program and possess a current Florida and/or national certification in good standing.
(Own Your Craft) — Your expertise in the medical field is the foundation for exceptional care.Requires Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).
(Drive and Discover) — Stay at the forefront of health care, ensuring that you can respond to emergencies swiftly and confidently.Requires a minimum of 3 years of BLS experience in a field or clinical environment. 5+ years' experience is highly desirable.
(Own Your Craft) — Your depth of experience ensures the delivery of high-quality, effective services.Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
(Go Together) — Lead and collaborate with a dynamic team, fostering an environment of mutual support and growth.Experience working as a paramedic or EMT on an ALS unit or in regular shifts on a CCT unit is preferred.

Other Requirements:
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends to support park operations.
