About the Job
We're seeking a Healthcare IT Project Manager to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for leading clinical portfolio project teams and managing all activities in a project life-cycle (initiation planning, executing/controlling, and closing) associated with projects that are long duration, enterprise wide and medium to high in risk, scope and complexity. Responsible for tracking both operational and capital project budget.
Location: Remote with strong preference for candidates residing within the UPH geographies of Iowa, Illinois, & Wisconsin.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities:What You'll Do:
- Consults with business partners to clarify and define project requirements, including risk analysis and development of all project-related artifacts and templates.
- Develops and revises medium to high-risk complex project plans and budgets, working with users to understand complex problems and focuses on bringing issues to resolution and escalating as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Produces and delivers presentations to senior leadership, demonstrating ownership of the entire project process from beginning to end.
- Communicates concepts to team members, customers and vendors.
- Create project artifacts that meet a specific project need.
- Develops and implements program and project level processes, procedures and performance metrics.
- Responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing outside vendors.
- Manages a project budget. Partners with Finance to develop reports on budget/forecasting and financials related to the initiatives ensuring service quality and cost-effectiveness of solutions.
- Assists in the development and implementation of business requirements as well as leading and facilitating cross-functional, crossline of business teams.
- Gathers project requirements, gain stakeholder approval, and communicates solution design needs effectively.
- Manages the development of initiative plans, roadmaps, and manage interdependencies.
- Manages the development of metrics and tracking/evaluating performance of programs, services and initiatives tied to specific project plans.
- Creates initiative reporting, progress and metrics reporting as it relates to key business partners’ needs.
- Monitors initiatives to ensure requests are met on time and within sizing, keeping all parties informed of impacts and changes.
- Supportive of regular reviews of the initiative with Information Technology and business management.
What You'll Need:
Education:
- Required- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Health Science or Project Management or equivalent education and work experience.
Experience:
- Required- Minimum 5 years Healthcare IT Project Management experience.
- Knowledge of the technology used within the healthcare industry.
License(s) Certifications:
CAPM and PMP Certification preferred.
Knolwedge/Skills/Abilities:
- Intermediate to advanced project management skills, including an understanding of all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, human resources and communications.
- Ability to align, manage, and track change across multiple programs and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to operate effectively in a large complex organization.
- Results oriented with strong customer focus and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project (EPPM) Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to change.
Vendor relationship management experience preferred.
Experience using SharePoint preferred.
