Position Summary
The candidate will design and build innovative reporting and analytics solutions to meet the needs of our key stakeholder groups to understand the underlying factors driving key business and product decisions.
The candidate filling this position must have advanced technical abilities in order to mine data from multiple disparate sources and transform that data into meaningful reports with clear calls to action using Excel, Tableau, Python, and other business intelligence tools. The candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated processes to support reporting solutions.
The candidate should be adept at communication and expressing ideas orally and in writing, including formal presentations to diverse audiences.
While we encourage sharing knowledge and collaborating on projects whenever needed, the candidate will also be expected to take on projects from start to finish with little guidance using independent research and leveraging best practices from previous projects.
Responsibilities:
+ Transform raw data, using SQL and other querying languages, into automated reporting that is intuitive and can be understood by individuals with varying backgrounds
+ Design, implement, and maintain curated data sources and supporting automated ETL processes
+ Identify clear calls-to-action that will favorably impact the key performance indicators we track
+ Collaborate with business partners to ensure content and functionality meet expectations.
+ Document code logic and steps-to-completion that can easily be tracked and repeated by other analysts
+ Evaluate and improve upon existing reporting by implementing automated solutions
+ Provide project status reports, verbal and written
+ Support teammates with ad-hoc requests, and serve as a subject matter expert for user experience best practices
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred, quantitative field (e.g. economics, data science, informatics, etc.)
+ Master’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
+ 5+ years of relevant work experience in healthcare informatics preferred
+ 5+ years of experience using SQL, Excel, Tableau, Python, QuickSight (or other BI tools) required
+ Experience with statistical, financial, and performance analysis
+ Experience with ETL and data warehousing best practices.
+ Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and take initiative with limited direction
+ Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
+ Strong quantitative analytical, and problem solving skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Excellent planning, organizational and task management skills
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with managers and employees, along with working with external clients, or customers
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 95,200 - 158,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
