Position Overview:
As a Healthcare Scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, verifying eligibility, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards to enhance patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments efficiently, optimizing provider schedules.
- Conduct high-volume outbound calls to patients to explain services and verify eligibility.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and scheduling information.
- Navigate electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software with proficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA compliance standards in all patient interactions and documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate timely patient follow-up and care continuity.
Position Requirements:
- Prior experience in healthcare scheduling or coordination is preferred.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and familiarity with EHR systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to manage a high volume of calls.
- Reliable internet connection for remote work, with a preference for candidates in the Midwest or East Coast for patient outreach.
- Flexibility to work between 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM (PDT).
