Position Overview: Our client is seeking a seasoned Estimator with extensive experience in Heavy Civil Construction. The Estimator will be adept at take-off plans and estimating projects, and will quickly become self-sufficient in their role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed quantity take-offs from construction plans.
• Prepare accurate and comprehensive project estimates.
• Supervise and mentor junior estimators and support staff.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate project scopes and budgets.
• Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Heavy Civil Construction estimating. 
• Strong background in estimating projects related to heavy highway, bridge construction, utility work, or marine projects.
• Ability to quickly become self-sufficient and work independently.
• Engineering experience is a plus, but not required.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in relevant estimating software and tools.
