Heavy Civil - Project Engineers - Old Saybrook - O&G Industries Inc

O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based in Torrington, CT, is seeking Project Engineers to join our Heavy Civil division. We are recruiting for civil engineers to provide pre-construction support. Amtrak has tapped the joint venture of Industries, Inc., and Tutor Perini to replace the Connecticut River Bridge, located between Old Saybrook and Old Lyme, Conn. The $1.3-billion project aims to improve reliability and capacity for Amtrak’s intercity services, as well as commuter rail and freight operators in the Northeast Corridor.

These positions will play a critical role in the successful and timely delivery of critical pre-con documents and/or request for information by various stakeholders such as project submissions, shop and working drawings, environmental etc..

This is a complex project and a fantastic opportunity for people who are eager to join a highly engaged team and contribute to the successful completion of the bridge project.

We look for candidates with:

• BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 3 - 8 years of construction management experience

• Proven record of delivering results
• Demonstrated sense of urgency and accuracy in your work
• Ability to adjust to new processes, individual and team requirements and the O&G culture
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team-based environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• OSHA 10-hour certified required
• Basic MEP Knowledge
• Understanding of Contract Documents, Blueprints & Specifications
• Knowledge of document control applications
