Position:  Heavy Civil Superintendent

gpac, a 30-year, Family-Owned Search Firm, is partnered with a a leading Heavy Civil Company in New Jersey that is looking to hire an Experience, Professional Superintendent in Heavy Highway, Bridges, Asphalt/Paving, Earthwork, Sitework, Excavating, Underground Utilities, Marine, Rail, and Dams should consider this great opportunity.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 Years of Related Superintendent Experience in Heavy Civil Construction.
• Prior knowledge of Heavy Highway, Bridges, Asphalt/Paving, Earthwork, Sitework, Excavating, Underground Utilities, Marine, Rails, and Dams.
• Strong Ability in Researching, Analysis, Planning, Project Management, and Processes.
• Strong Budgeting, Decision Making, Organizational and Time Management Skills.
• Ability To Multi-Task with Strong Attention to Details to Ensure a Successful Project.
• Ability to Read Drawings and Perform Construction Take-Offs.
• Proficiency In Change Order Pricing.
• Strong Knowledge of Estimating, Construction, Design, Finance and Project Management.
• Clean Driving Record.

Job Description

• Manage Potential Bid Opportunities and Estimating.  
• Plan Site Visits and Evaluations, with Customers to Support an Effective Process.    
• Review, Edit, and Prepare Estimates Including Material Pricing, Supplier and Subcontractor Selection, Construction Equipment and Facilities, Etc.  
• Ensure Customer Specifications are Met and Company Financial Goals are Achieved.
• Plan, Manage, And Oversee Project Planning Meetings, Execution Plans and Scheduling to Ensure Each Project Remains Within Specifications, Timeline and Bid.
• Manage Audits, Review Safety Procedures, Hold Customer Meetings and Process Updates to Manage and Meet Customer Project Budget Expectations.  
• Manage, Oversee and Mentor Laborers and Project Managers to Help Them Develop in Their Roles.      
• Track Project Goals, Timelines and Budgets to Ensure the Project Stays on Track.

Benefits

• Salary $120,000 to $150,000. Depends on Experience
