Heavy Equipment Mechanic Benefits:

• Up to $1450 per week (based on diesel mechanic experience)

What you'll do:

• As one of our Heavy Equipment Mechanics you'll repair and maintain the transportation fleet and act as custodian of the fleet records.
• Heavy Equipment Mechanic performs preventative maintenance on all vehicles (approx. 97) every 90 days.
• Diesel Mechanic performs inspections on vehicles every 90 days.
• Diesel Mechanic repairs, as necessary, all vehicles to ensure they are safe and legal for use.
• Maintains registration all vehicles.
• Performs emergency on-road vehicle break down repairs as necessary.
• Maintains official vehicle records. Handles all transportation related agency inspections.
• Purchases all parts & supplies as needed. Insures VIK, VRS inspections are performed annually on tanker equipment.
• Installs PTOs, and pumps and new equipment for bulk deliveries.
• Assists tank farm personnel as needed with pump failures.
• Maintains waste oil generation and disposal records.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Requirements:

• Specialized training preferred in the following:
  • Cummins diesel engines
  • Eaton transmissions and differentials
  • Rockwell differentials
  • Heavy duty truck suspensions
  • Heavy duty brake system
