Heavy Equipment Mechanic at GWST - Sarasota

Are you a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic looking to join our team in Sarasota? We are on the lookout for someone who can diagnose and fix a range of heavy equipment like excavators, dump trucks, skid steers, and roll-off trucks. Safety and efficiency are paramount in this role.

$25 - $30 hourly

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment in
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently
• Carry out thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on various heavy machinery
• Replace or repair defective parts and components as needed
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs completed
• Strictly adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and systems
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Familiarity with HVAC systems in diesel vehicles
• Ability to solder and perform tire service is a plus
• Knowledge of tractor-trailer systems is beneficial
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
