Description:We are looking for a Mechanic who can diagnose and repair simple and complex issues on heavy equipment, light equipment, automotive equipment and small engine equipment, and perform routine maintenance tasks for our customer’s equipment. The successful candidate will use necessary computer diagnostics equipment to assist in diagnosing and develop a cost-effective solution. The ideal applicant will have exceptional knowledge in heavy equipment and diesel engines. ASE Certifications are required.
Responsibilities:- Service, troubleshoot malfunctions and do repairs on a wide variety of equipment, ranging from bull dozers, buses, automotive, tactical army equipment to chainsaws and mowers.
- Perform gas arc and tig welding procedures.
- Diagnose using different types of computer diagnostic tools and software.
- Follow recommendations from the technical manuals; follow checklist from the service manuals and record all corrective actions properly.
- Operate machinery safely.
- Must maintain a safe and clean work environment. Most work is done in the shop but must be capable of doing servicing/repairs on site in sometimes harsh weather conditions.
- Must be able to work well with others. Must be able to read and understand technical manuals and document findings in a legible manner. Perform other task as required by Management. Reports to the Maintenance Manager.
- 3 Years’ Experience in Heavy Equipment Operation and Mechanical Repairs
- 3 Years Automotive Repair
- 3 Years Diesel Engines Repair
- 2 Years Small Engine Repairs
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend, reach and walk for extended periods
- Three ASE certifications names at managers discretion, must obtain within 3 months of hire
- Section 609 Air Conditioning
- Must be able to read and understand technical manuals and document findings in a legible manner.
- Must pass a Pre-Employment Physical
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results.
Desired Qualifications:
- Welding IAW American Welding Society (AWS) standards.
- EVT Certified F-1- F-4 Level 2
- Section 608 Air Conditioning Certifications
- Experience in Military Operations & Procedures
- Experience on Military Tactical Equipment
