Job Description:
Patriot Pipeline is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating various types of construction equipment used in underground utility projects. This role requires precision, safety awareness, and a strong understanding of construction procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and loaders in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to execute project tasks accurately.
- Coordinate with other crew members and supervisors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment issues that arise during operations.
- Assist in the excavation, grading, and installation of underground utility systems.
- Keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and project progress.
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the construction industry, preferably in underground utility projects.
- Strong knowledge of operating and maintaining heavy construction equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
- Certification or training in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
