HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (STREETS / STORMWATER) - City of Rocky Mount

DEFINITION:
Responsible for operating heavy equipment in the construction, maintenance, and repair of the City right of way infrastructure including the stormwater system, roadway surfaces, sidewalks, curb and gutter. Employees in this position will work under supervision and guidance from the assigned Crew Supervisor as well as other division staff. This employee will perform assigned tasks to meet the operational needs of the divisions.
 
REPORTS TO:  The Crew Supervisor assigns work in terms of general instructions.
