The Training Instructor is responsible for developing and implementing training for assigned products or employee areas, as directed by the Service Training Manager or Wagner Training Institute (WTI) Manager in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.” It is also responsible for serving as the liaison between WTI and the Wagner Equipment Co
managers, as assigned
This instructor, if assigned technical training, may be held accountable for proficiency in assigned technical training areas such as Wheel Loaders, small TT Tractors, Motor Graders, Off-Highway Trucks, Gas Engines, Agricultural Equipment, and other equipment as assigned.
Pay Rate: $65,000.00- $80,000.00 annually
Pay rate is based upon experience and education
Essential Functions:

Assists with creating a skills database and tracking training progress
Helps coordinate the TCDP (Technician Career Development Plan)
Assists in creating an individual schedule of classes for WTI
Completes required paperwork and budget tracking
Participates in scheduled department activities and becomes an active partner in planning effective strategy for WTI
Works with key company personnel in developing class schedules
Meets on a regular basis with Wagner Equipment Co
managers to review training needs for the shop technicians
Assesses each technician to identify training gaps (TCDP)
Markets WTI classes to outside customers
Distributes relevant WTI class offering information to internal employees
Designs class materials and facilitates classes in response to the assessment results and to the requests of our management staff
Attends needed classes to become proficient with the equipment listed under the “General Responsibilities” section
Keeps informed with New Product Updates and sends relevant information to the appropriate people within our company
Other duties as assigned by manager
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
1-3 years administrative/clerical experience
3-5 years customer service experience
3-5 years supervisory/management experience
5+ years technical or mechanical experience with earthmoving equipment or gas engines
1-3 years’ experience as an instructor in a related vocational field, such as diesel or heavy equipment maintenance and repair
Experience with curriculum development and adult learning theory
Work Environment:

Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
Safety & Product Knowledge
Basic comprehension of mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, and machine components
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Technical Writing Skills
Knowledge of assessment testing and skill gap analysis
Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, etc.
Medium work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 32 pounds or more
Travel Requirements:
25- 50%
