About the Job
An investment management firm is seeking an experienced professional to join their growing team as a Hedge Fund Operations Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead data gathering and analysis to compile monthly/quarterly valuation of existing investments in the portfolio (with support from third-party valuation firms as applicable)
- Support and liaise with third-party accounting of underlying investments (including loan positions, project ownership positions, tax equity partnership positions, and structured equity investments)
- Coordinate and track ongoing investment fundings, deal closings, asset-level expense payments and investment receivables
- Provide financing counterparties data requests and audit/tax support as needed
- Monitor compliance and reporting of underlying renewable energy projects due from borrowers and deal counterparties
- Prepare and present to management monthly actual-to-budget variance analysis with regard to production, operating and financial performance of underlying projects / investment positions
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- Strong grasp of financial concepts and familiarity with investment accounting principles
- Outstanding attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving ability
- Superb MS Excel skills and capacity to use database systems and workflow management software
- High level of communication, organizational, and presentation skills
- Must be highly motivated, internally driven, and able to thrive in a collaborative environment with a fairly flat hierarchy and several reporting lines
- Excellent work ethic with a demonstrated record of achievement and meeting key deliverables in timely manner
- 4-7 years in a finance, FP&A, or investment accounting/portfolio administration role
Desired Skills:
- Specific renewable energy asset management and/or operations experience
