We are seeking a Help Desk Specialist Level III to support the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA. In this position you’ll join a technically diverse team to include, but not limited to other Help Desk Specialists, Network Engineers, System Administrators, and Database Professionals. Together, this team provides IT Operations and Support to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Agency which is responsible for training law enforcement professionals from over 90 different agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose computer errors and provide technical support
- Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues
- Train end-users how to setup and use new technologies
- Backup and restore an organization's data files and systems
- Install, configure, and upgrade PC software and operating systems
- Clean and repair hardware, such as keyboards and printers
- Tier I and II duties. IT help desk technicians provide technical support via online and by phone
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting software and hardware in a customer service role; 3+ years of experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Ideal candidates will possess an associate's or bachelor's degree with an emphasis on Information Technology - Network Administration. High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ - preferred
- Must be able to pass the Federal Law Enforcement Background Investigation
