Hematology / BMT Hospitalist – Tufts Medical Center – Boston, MA
Tufts Medical Center Division of Hematology / Oncology is recruiting for an exceptional colleague to join our busy Malignant Hematology / BMT practice in Downtown Boston, MA as anAcademic Hematology / BMT Hospitalist.
The Division is noted for its distinction in fulfilling the missions of high-quality clinical care for all patients, ground breaking research, and excellence in teaching in Medical Oncology and Hematology. We take pride in fostering academic faculty development. Opportunities for interdisciplinary and translational research collaboration and teaching at all levels of medical education are available. Division faculty members are actively supported in pursuing collaborative work that spans the academic spectrum across the Tufts Health Sciences campus.
Join an active and growing academic Hematology/Oncology division with a history of pioneering in multi-disciplinary cancer care, cutting edge surgical and radiation therapeutic approaches, and multi-faceted, collaborative clinical, translational, and population health research.
How You’ll Transform Patient Care:
Direct management of inpatients on the Malignant Hematology / BMT subspecialty service, in collaboration with Hematology Oncology faculty and fellows.
Provide consultative service in Hematology for inpatients at Tufts Medical Center.
Provide supervision, oversight, and teaching of Internal Medicine interns, residents, and fellows rotating on the inpatient Malignant Hematology / BMT and Hematology Consultation services.
Precept and teach medical students at the Tufts University School of Medicine during their rotations on the inpatient Malignant Hematology / BMT and Hematology Consultation services.
Provide oversight of quality programs and metrics on the Hematology Oncology inpatient services.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
BC/BE in Internal Medicine, and Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
Experience in the management of immune effector cell therapy including CAR-T and allogeneic transplantation
Demonstrate potential for academic excellence
Value working collaboratively with colleagues in the complex clinical care of our patients
