Overview
We have an exciting opportunity to help expand AdventHealths Hematology Oncology presence throughout Volusia County and in New Smyrna Beach on Floridas beautiful East Coast. The practice is looking for two team-oriented fellowship trained hematologist oncologists to join us. This opportunity would provide inpatient coverage at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach and will have a dedicated outpatient clinic attached to the hospital along with infusion and radiation oncology also on site. The team will manage a variety of hematology and oncology patients. The physicians would have the opportunity to participate in research, clinical trials and established multi-disciplinary tumor boards. Rotation of call would be shared with the other physicians in the practice including weekends. There is also an exciting opportunity for a leadership position within this practice.

Requirements of the position include:
- Board certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification/eligibility in Hematology and or Medical Oncology
- Experience with practice building in a new market is preferred
Hospital Description
AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach, New Smyrna Beachs first public hospital opened in 1954. The 20 bed, red brick facility known as Fish Memorial Hospital was established by funding from the Bert Fish Testamentary trust founded by Judge Bert Fish. In April 1974, a new replacement facility opened with 74 beds, 16 bassinets, two modern operating rooms, a delivery room, emergency room and a four-bed Intensive Care Unit. In 1996, approximately 60,000 square feet of space was added to expand the cancer and surgical services. In April 2016, Bert Fish Medical Center became part of the Adventist Health System and was renamed Florida Hospital New Smyrna and three years later the hospital was renamed AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach and is just over 100 licensed beds.
