Job Description:
Position Requirements:
2 or more years full-time Labor and Delivery RN experience prior to/not including travel assignments
Mother/Baby couplet care and Newborn stabilization experience preferred
Hawaii RN license required to apply NO EXCEPTIONS
Required Certifications:
BLS for HCP
ACLS
NRP (STABLE certification preferred)
Electronic Fetal Monitoring C-EFM (Advanced Fetal Monitoring preferred)
ALL TRAVELERS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE EVIDENCE OF CURRENT COVID-19 and INFLUENZA VACCINATION PER CURRENT CDC GUIDELINES: COVID --> booster 2023 or later; FLU --> vaccinated current season, no declinations.
North Hawaii Community Hospital is located in Waimea, Hawaii on the "Big Island". The Family Birthing Unit is comprised of 5 private labor and delivery suites, 1 triage room, 3 postpartum overflow beds & a level 1 nursery. The Family Birthing Unit is a low-risk OB unit but is equipped to manage high risk stabilization until transport occurs. Nurses care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum couplets and stabilization of neonates until appropriate transport occurs. North Hawaii Community Hospital is a Baby-Friendly designated hospital and offers a collaboration of Physician and Midwifery services.
