High School Girls Soccer Coaches Needed for 2024-25 Fall Season.
The College Preparatory School, a private high school in North Oakland, seeks Girls Varsity
Head Coach to lead our Girls Soccer Program. We are also seeking Girls Varsity Assistant
Coach for the winter 2024-25 season. We seek dynamic candidates looking to help build on an
established and successful program that has won back-to-back league championships. Coaching
candidates must be focused on coaching soccer and teaching lifelong values of sportsmanship,
integrity, commitment, personal responsibility, teamwork, and self-discipline.
The 2024-25 season runs from Nov. 4. To March 1.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
â— Providing instruction, mentoring, and coaching on the necessary skills, techniques, and
competitive strategies of soccer
â— Organize and execute practice and season-long coaching plans
â— Work effectively with student-athletes of varying abilities and cultural backgrounds to
instill commitment, discipline, and teamwork
â— Ability to motivate student-athletes to participate and sustain their interests in the
program.
â— Be a positive role model for students, coaching staff, and the College Prep community
â— Ability to supervise, organize, and motivate a coaching staff at all levels
â— Working cooperatively and professionally with all school staff
â— Attending all department and league meetings
â— Presenting a positive image to the student-athletes and the campus community by
maintaining appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics
â— Maintain good public relations and cooperative relationships with media, parents,
officials, students, staff, and school administration
â— Demonstrate knowledge of and adhere to and keep abreast of NFHS, CIF, NCS, and
League rules
â— Assume responsibility for inventory, equipment, and care of school or rented facilities.
â— Responsible for the supervision of all students affiliated with the team.
â— Report injuries to Athletic Trainer, Athletic Director, and Assoc. Athletic Director in a
timely manner.
Qualifications:
â— Knowledgeable of the fundamentals and advanced techniques of soccer
â— Be a positive role model and provide direction to players of all skill levels, from the
beginning player to the advanced player
â— Applicants must have experience in coaching at the high school or college level
â— Positive and professional attitude
â— Flexible afternoon and evening schedules
â— Valid California driver's license
â— CPR and first-aid training preferred (or willingness to gain proficiency)

Salary: $25-$35/hour
