Summary
We are seeking someone passionate about empowering high school students to pursue a postsecondary pathway that aligns to their purpose who also has an entrepreneurial, innovative mindset and spirit. You will teach College and Career Readiness year 2 to all Kairos Academies High School (KAHS) 10th grade students. You will be expected to implement the provided curriculum with 100% fidelity, communicating any concerns in pacing and/or subject matter to the School Principal as they arise. In addition to teaching the course, you will be responsible for assessing student progress, meeting weekly with the College & Career readiness Director, participating in grade-level team meetings, and maintaining family communication.
Responsibilities
- Teach 6 sections of 10th grade College & Career
- Use Next Prep curriculum with fidelity
- Coordinate with Next Prep Program Director and school leadership around field trips, simulations, and capstone presentations/events for 10th grade students
- Maintain updated student data/grades
- Communicate with families around student progress
- Use KAHS behavioral and attendance systems
- Attend KAHS grade-level team meetings
- Meet weekly with the College & Career readiness Director
- Attend specific KAHS professional development session, which will be determined in advance by the KAHS school leader and the College& Career readiness director
- You will NOT be responsible for the following: covering classes for absent teachers, leading advisory or self-direction, coaching students, attending all KAHS in-service sessions, doing lunch, arrival, or dismissal duties, or following KAHS unit or lesson plan internalization protocol

Technology Skills
Ability and competence in Microsoft Office applications and ability to use a variety of computer applications and platforms. Ability to use basic office equipment. Also, knowledge and experience in using a computer-based student Information Management system.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree Required
- Master's degreePreferred
- Missouri Substitute Certification Required
- 3 years of teaching experience Preferred
- Satisfactory completion of criminal records check, pre-hire and annually thereafter, if applicable.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide work authorization.
Starting Salary: From $48,000 annually based on experience

Schedule:
- In-person teaching Monday through Friday 7:30am 4:00pm
- Some weekends and evenings will be required
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Saint Louis, MO 63118: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required). Please note, this is not a remote position. All Kairos teachers are required to deliver in-person instruction onsite, in our school in St. Louis.
