High Voltage Service Technician - SST Direct

On the hunt for an experienced High Voltage Service Technician with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of high voltage electrical systems and equipment. This is a direct hire opportunity with our client, a well-established electrical contractor based in Tampa, FL

Salary: $27-$29/hour

Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and maintain high voltage electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance to identify potential issues and ensure system reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical problems in high voltage systems efficiently.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Adhere to safety regulations and best practices, conducting risk assessments and implementing safety protocols.
• Prepare detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and documentation for all work performed.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and modifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other technicians on various electrical projects.
• Mentor junior technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls and outages, implementing corrective actions to restore service.

• 2-3 years of experience in electrical theory, high voltage systems, and safety standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and tools.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
