Heidelberg Materials is seeking a HMA Plant Operator for our Nazareth site located in Nazareth, PA.

What You'll Get To Do

• Operate plant from start up to shut down in a safe and productive manner-adjusting flow of product as needed.
• Light to heavy mechanical maintenance to ensure constant production.
• Operate heavy equipment to include loader, skid steer, man lift and dump truck.
• Housekeeping of the plant, sweeping debris, shoveling gravel and asphalt.
• Maintain daily plant operations; ensure computer is operating correctly, key in necessary data, monitor the mechanical operations of the plant to ensure everything is working, if not troubleshoot accordingly.
• Working in both a confined room for a period of time, as well as outside in the elements.
• Perform related job duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Drivers License is required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of prior experience operating heavy equipment is required.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment as well as troubleshoot and perform light maintenance
• Computer proficiency is essential.
• Strong numbers aptitude and analytical abilities are necessary.
• Previous experience in open pit mining operations and aggregate products a plus
• Ability to work different shifts, holidays and/or overtime as required
• Knowledge of OSHA Regulations
• Physical Requirements: sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending (bending at the waist, lifting above the waist and lifting below the waist), kneeling, reaching, grasping (use of both hands), squatting, repetitive motions, manipulative finger movements with both hands, use of wrists (flexing or rotating with both wrists), use of both feet, use of arms above and below shoulder, work extended periods of time in same position, perform duties in all climates i.e. weather, extreme temperatures, tolerate heights, lift and carry up to 75 lbs., work in confined spaces, capable of wearing respiratory and other personal protective equipment
