WHO YOU ARE
As the Home Depot Ecommerce Sales Manager, you are responsible for growing sales and profitability for The AMES Companies product lines on HomeDepot.com. Brands include: ClosetMaid, Razor-Back, True Temper, Jackson, Ames, Southern Patio and other national brands. You will work directly with retail account managers, across multiple product categories, to set up new products on HomeDepot.com and maximize existing ecommerce offerings. You will be the champion at customer relationships and be the main point of contact to the online merchants for your categories, brand advocates and other category account functions. Focus will also be to maximize the availability of our products in the eCommerce channel to meet the needs and delivery requirements for our eRetail customers. Working directly with the Home Depot brand advocates and internal resources, maximizing content and product page strategy will be key to success with managing the HomeDepot.com accounts.
Proven experience in Ecommerce Retail Sales and successfully working and growing retail ecommerce accounts and marketplaces is a must. You will foster an environment that generates ideas and collaboration in the Ecommerce Retail channel.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage the daily sales and operations of HomeDepot.com across all product lines that The Ames Companies (TAC) sells to The Home Depot
- Develop and onboard new product listings, while maintaining and increasing sales of existing online listings of The AMES Companies products
- Develop strategies with the Online Merchandising Manager on merchandising, product selection, new product launches and promotions
- Partner with The Home Depot merchant team to align on site promotions, submission of promotions and assessment of promotional performance
- Collaborate with National Account Managers on sales presentations and product line reviews
- Have a clear understanding of Ecommerce Retail and the processes, opportunities and challenges; and communicate those processes and requirements internally
- Work and be the account expert in Home Depot’s Supplier Hub, IDM, Vendor Drill, Commerce Hub and any other portals required to manage the homedepot.com business
- Participate in regular store walks with the National Account team to maintain sales alignment of the store and online business and support Home Depot’s interconnected strategy
- Analyze sales data available in the Home Depot portals and multiple internal platforms to review performance, assortment changes required and opportunities for store placement of products
- Follow the internal pricing policy and work directly with the Strategic Pricing Manager for approval on price quoting of new and existing products
- Present various types of information formally and informally to The Home Depot teams and internal TAC stakeholders
- Oversee onboarding of new product listings from beginning to end, including:
- Completion of required forms and documents
- Assessment of eCommerce landscape and competitive retails
- Working closely with internal teams on the Supplier Operating Guidelines, including customer file and EDI set-up
- Work with internal operations and customer service teams to ensure ideal distribution and fulfillment for account specific ecommerce strategy
- Work with internal operations, forecasting and inventory teams to ensure product availability
- Coordinate product review program (SEEDS) with Home Depot and internal TAC teams
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
- Minimum 3+ years of direct and hands-on experience in sales
- Experience selling directly to The Home Depot (Ecommerce experienced preferred)
- Experience working in a consumer-packaged goods (CPG) or consumer durables industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Ability to work effectively, independently and in a team environment
- Strong planning, tracking and organizing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present data in an organized manner
- Travel required (10%)
