The role of a Home Health Aide/Personal Care Aide with Avant Care is truly impactful. In this position, you'll be providing invaluable assistance to clients with their activities of daily living. Avant Care proudly provides residential care and home care in Atlanta, Georgia, to individuals with disabilities, injuries, difficulties with mobility, or illnesses. We are composed of highly trained and competent staff members who are dedicated and experts in delivering care services in the comfort of our client's home or one of our personal care homes. It is our mission to provide our clients and residents with exceptional care services and achieve the optimum wellness they deserve.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with activities of daily living
- Escorting clients to medical appointments as necessary
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding when required
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, tidying up, and meal cleanup.
- Encourage and facilitate engagement in therapeutic exercises or activities.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers regarding the client's needs and progress.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of the client.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license, state ID, and Social Security Card.
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CPR & First Aid certification
- Recent TB screening and ability to pass a state background check
- Prior experience in caregiving is essential
Desired Qualifications:
- Having PCA, HHA or CNA Certification is essential
- Ensure your transportation is dependable
- Be authorized to work in the US
