About the Job
Better Living Senior Assistance an affiliate of Parx Home Care, a leading home care agency providing tailored home health care services in Sarasota county, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Home Health Aide to join our team. As a Home Health Aide, you will be responsible for providing essential personal care services to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. At Better Living, we believe in promoting healing and well-being by offering our clients experienced and dedicated professionals who are committed to providing unwavering compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene and grooming needs, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication and assist with medical equipment as needed.
- Provide companionship and conversation to clients, as well as assisting in meal planning and preparation.
- Monitor and report any changes in client's health or well-being to the supervising nurses.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and vacuuming.
- Provide transportation to clients as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care and progress.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program.
- Current certification as a Home Health Aide.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
