CareStar, Inc. is currently seeking a Homemaker in the Clinical Departmentand is responsible for providing compassionate, non-medical services to individuals in their homes to effectively ensure their comfort and safety.
THE POSITION
CareStar is looking for motivated individuals who/to:
- Maintain open and direct contact with Program Administration.
- Assist clients in completing activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living, including, but not limited to, bathing, grooming, meal preparation, errands, incontinence care, transportation and light housework.
- Provide companion care and other assistance, as needed, to promote a quality life.D
- Assist individuals served with taking identified medication and appointment reminders.
- Enters information accurately into database to document care visits.
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a statewide background check confirming no convictions for any crime of violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation or any felony offense.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- TB Skin Test required by Alabama Medicaid Agency.
- Have the ability to provide excellent customer service, including effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, independently and as part of a team.
- Adheres to the CareStar Rule in performance of job responsibilities.
- Understands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality as related to patient information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense.
- Follows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar, Inc.
