This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of palliative care, end of life care, and pain management to lead our team in delivering compassionate care to patients with terminal illnesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, hospice care, and leadership, with a proven track record of managing a multidisciplinary team. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Permanent Hospice Executive Director - RN to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of palliative care, end of life care, and pain management to lead our team in delivering compassionate care to patients with terminal illnesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, hospice care, and leadership, with a proven track record of managing a multidisciplinary team. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overall management and the day-to-day operations while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, enhancing the quality of patient care and services, promoting teamwork, and meeting budgetary guidelines.
- Develop and implement strategic plans that meet the organization's objectives while ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
- Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, and community organizations.
- Provide leadership and direction for the clinical team, including hiring, training, performance management, and staff development.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, ensuring the highest level of comfort and quality of life.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care processes and outcomes, using data to drive quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as adherence to industry best practices and ethical standards.
- Participate in community outreach and education programs to raise awareness about hospice and palliative care services.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a hospice or similar healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in palliative care, end of life care, and pain management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, staff, and community partners.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, manage budgets, and drive organizational growth.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex and sensitive situations.
- Must be compassionate and empathetic, with a deep commitment to providing patient-centered care.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to hospice care.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
