Key Position Details:
As an Addiction Psychiatrist , you will be a member of our Addiction Psychiatry outpatient clinic team. The addiction team includes specialty nurses, licensed alcohol and drug counselors, psychologists, and psychiatric providers. Program components includeeConsults, education, outpatient therapeutic and psychiatric interventions. At Allina, our addiction services extend beyond the outpatient clinics and also include inpatient/residential care, dual diagnosis partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient treatment programs. The Addiction clinic is embedded in our Mental Health Hospital Based Clinics, where we treat individual complex mental health care needs. Your team is closely aligned with Allina hospitals and facilitates referrals from the emergency departments and hospital discharges. You will also receive referrals and coordinate care with Allina primary care providers.

Job Description:
Principle Responsibilities
Consults with providers to assist with ongoing management of the behavioral health needs of patients.
Engages the patient and family to develop treatment plans that address identified goals.
Develops and leads staff education in psychiatric issues.
May participate in on-call rotation.
Job Requirements
- MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required
- BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required
- Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable
- Completion of addiction fellowship or ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) certification
