These positions are benefits-eligible and anticipated to be up to 12 months in duration.** **WORK SCHEDULE** We are looking to fill: + Temporary Day shift positions: 7:00am - 3:30pm + Temporary Evening shift positions: 3:00pm-11:30pm and 5:00pm-1:30am + Temporary Night shift positions: 11:00pm-7:30am **POSITION HIGHTLIGHTS** Under general supervision, the individual in this role will maintain cleanliness and care of facilities in inpatient and non-patient areas and administrative offices as assigned. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Cleans and disinfects all furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to procedure. + Removes and properly handles soiled linen; disinfects and remakes beds in patient rooms; dust and wet mops hard floors with disinfectant. + Empties/relines wastebaskets, regulated medical waste containers, and recycle containers. + Performs bloodborne pathogen and chemical spill containment and clean-up according to procedure. + Strips, cleans, buffs, and applies finish to floors. + Performs in between case cleaning and terminal cleaning of surgical, obstetrical, and invasive procedure rooms including flood mopping and disinfecting according to procedure. + Vacuums and spot clean carpets; operates automated carpet shampooers and extractors. + Follows written and/or verbal instructions regarding the use of chemicals, personal protective apparel, supplies, and equipment. + Sets up, moves, and takes down equipment and furniture and transports items to be repaired. + Reports the need for repair and/or maintenance of furniture or equipment. **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:** Physical ability to do required work. **ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER** As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
