Job Summary and Qualifications

The position of Supervisor will act as the point of contact for their area to the Food & Nutrition Managers and Director. This position assumes all responsibilities of the activities within their area.

• Must be able to perform the clinical, technical, and administrative aspects of the job for their specific area.
• Ensures appropriate staffing based on the patient/work load for their area.
• Enforces the attendance and tardy policies and reports any discrepancies.
• Supervises staff in a fair and unbiased manner.
• Responsible for maintaining good order and discipline in the workplace.
• Creates and maintains appropriate work and call schedules (when applicable).
• Orders and maintains supplies for their area.
• Ensures all equipment is operational and if not takes immediate and appropriate corrective actions to maintain operations.
• Ensures proper QA and QC procedures are performed.
• Enforces all policies and procedures specific to their modality.
• Checks for all HACCP requirements and ensures all temperature checks (dish machine, food items temp logs) are complete and accurate.
• Ensures all sanitation and cleanliness is maintained.
• Ensures highest standard of customer service is practiced by staff.
• Holds regularly scheduled staff meetings and conducts in-service training (as required / appropriate) within their area.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Diploma or GED
• ServSafe certification preferred
• 1-2 years Supervisory experience within Food Services Industry preferred
• Food Services experience in healthcare facility preferred
